Who's invited? All are welcome to fall practice, and don't worry if you miss the first couple (though of course show up if you can). The fall season is dedicated to showing new players how to play the game. It's low pressure and lots of fun.
What should you bring? You should wear athletic shorts and a t-shirt (light and dark if you can), bring a water bottle, and if you've got soccer cleats, bring those too. We'll bring the discs, cones, and Ultimate know-how.
What is an ultimate practice? It usually consists of the following:

What is the A-team? B-team? In November, after many fall practices, we pick the most promising athletes (NOTE: not necessarily those with the most ultimate experience) to join the A-team. All other players are encouraged to join the B-team. Starting Winter quarter, the A-team practices hard and travels the country to compete against the best college teams, culminating in Regionals and Nationals in Spring. The B-team practices and travels as well, but is usually less of a time committment and much more relaxed. Both teams party and have a great time though.
Any fall tournaments? Practices are a great indication of player improvement, but nothing brings out the competitive edge like an ultimate tournament. This year we will take a team to CHUG at Chico State and Sean Ryan Invitational at Santa Cruz. However, since we can only take a certain number of people to these two tournaments they will be invitation only. However, everyone will be able to join in our infamous Halloween Tournament at Stanford. We may also attend tournaments at Humboldt in mid-October and Santa Clara.
Still not convinced? Check out our new player welcome page and our massive media gallery from past years.
