1. Stanford Strong at Kaimana (2/21/08)
   #11 Stanford rebounded from a poor showing at Santa Barbara Invite and made the semifinals at Kaimana. Losing to both finalists by only 4 points, Bloodthirsty looked strong and defeated long-time rivals Doughboy (Australia) 12-10 to win Pool D. After coming second in their power pool, they were victorious in quarterfinals over Bay Area team Mulva Park 13-11. However, we fell in semifinals to Skeletor, the Stanford alumni team and eventual champions, 10-14.

2. Stanford finishes 6th at Sean Ryan, picks team (11/13/07)
   Stanford finished 6th at the Sean Ryan Invitational in Santa Cruz on November 10th and 11th. A tryout team with seven returners won their pool with a 10-8 win over Humboldt, 15-4 over Santa Cruz B, and a 15-13 victory against Claremont. On Sunday we lost to Santa Barbara 15-12 in quarters in a hotly contested game, before beating Oregon and losing to LPC in the consolation bracket.

3. Santa Barbara Invite (1/30/07)
   Despite the rain all weekend, Bloodthirsty 2007 starts the season off with a win against Santa Barbara in the finals (15-13)

7. Website woes (11/19/06)
   Will it ever end? After yet another blown server (this time complete with sparks, smoke, and clicking), we're back online. Unfortunately the past month's changes have been lost, but nothing too tragic. If you've submitted profile changes that seem lost, just try again or email.

9. Nationals (5/29/06)
   We just got back from a fairly successful nationals weekend in Ohio. Eventual champs Florida knocked us out in the semifinals, but the team is thrilled with the season. Thanks to all the family and friends who came out to Columbus! (And send any pictures to Josh)

24. Invite recap... almost (3/9/06)
    Though we're thrilled Invite was able to take place (albeit 90 minutes away from campus), it was a disappointing weekend on the field. Bloodthirsty wasn't able to adapt to the windy conditions and lost in the quarterfinals to eventual champs Florida. More details on the way.

25. IMPORTANT: Stanford Invite 06 (3/3/06)
    As you may know, Stanford Invite is this weekend. Due to the downpours over the past week, Stanford has decided to close all the fields. After much scrambling (I'll spare the details), here's the final word. Invite is on! The men's division games will take place in Stockton on Saturday, and in Modesto on Sunday.     With over 40 alums spanning 25 years of Stanford Ultimate, the alumni reunion weekend was a blast. We have plenty of pictures to document the mayhem, and they'll be posted to the reunion page once we get them organized.

34. The true origin of Stanford Ultimate (11/4/05)
    Thanks to Finlay Waugh, we now have a picture and some info on Stanford Ultimate 1978. It was the first year the team was recognized as a club sport and travelled to Western Regionals.

36. Bloodthirsty takes back CHUG (10/25/05)
    We sent a crew of ten vets and eight tryouts to Chico this past weekend. After rolling through four games on Saturday, we faced some stiff preseason competition from Oregon State in the semis and LPC in the finals. But we fought through injuries and heat to take the crown. Check out the team picture.

    The autumn quarter practice times have been set. Roble Field, Mondays and Thursdays from 3:10 till 6:00. Returners-only (A + B team) practices will be on Tuesdays from 3:10 - 6:00. Please set your class schedule appropriately. It all begins here.

52. Mike Whitaker: Stanford's Callahan MVP Nominee (4/29/02)
    As the heart and soul of the Stanford Men's Ultimate Team for quite awhile, Whit is the obvious and deserving nominee for the Callahan MVP Award. We think he's the most complete big-time player in the country, and we hope you will watch him this year and agree with us come voting time. And if you haven't seen him before, he's the one in the hat.

55. SMUT Website Named Best of the Best (2/15/02)
    The Stanford Men's Ultimate website was recently cited on the rec.sport.disc discussion group as having the best overall ultimate team website in the nation. Everything on RSD is usually up for heated debate -- but few have disputed Becca's opinion that SMUT online is the best. I (the webmaster) don't deserve all the credit, though. Mike Payne is, as usual, furiously working behind the scenes producing a great deal of the content. Thanks again to everyone for visiting...and please note I'm still looking for a summer job...

60. Get Some Cleats (9/27/01)
    Cleats are the second most important piece of equipment in Ultimate (behind frisbees). Sportmart and Big 5 are within driving distance and excellent options if you want to try on your cleats. Or, if you already know what you want, head to East Bay (soccer or football cleats) or Gaia (for ultimate specific cleats) online.
